For this apartment, our team focused on working with what is visually present in the space and enhancing its character through color, proportion, and carefully balanced details. The interior feels expressive yet composed, combining traditional references with a contemporary sense of order.
Natural light plays a central role throughout the apartment. Green-painted window and door frames create a strong architectural rhythm and give the space a recognizable identity. These accents are balanced by light walls and patterned floors, allowing the interior to feel lively without becoming visually heavy.
Key Design Features of the Project
-
Dining Area as a Central Gathering Point
The dining space is organized around a round wooden table, which naturally encourages interaction and movement. The patterned floor tiles beneath define the zone clearly, adding a graphic layer that anchors the furniture and gives the area a strong visual presence. -
Color as an Architectural Tool
Deep green tones were used on doors, window frames, and shutters, creating continuity across rooms. This color choice frames views, highlights openings, and brings depth and contrast to the otherwise light interior palette. -
Flooring with Pattern and Rhythm
Flooring was treated as an integral design element. Geometric patterned tiles define circulation and dining zones, while checkered tiles in the kitchen introduce a classic, almost timeless graphic quality. Each pattern supports the function of the space it belongs to. -
Kitchen with Clear Geometry
The kitchen is organized in an L-shaped layout with glossy white cabinetry and a deep green tiled backsplash. The contrast between smooth cabinet fronts and textured tiles keeps the space visually fresh while maintaining a clean, functional workflow. -
Arched Opening as a Soft Transition
An arched passage connects spaces while adding softness to the overall geometry of the apartment. We treated this element as a focal point, using artwork and warm light to emphasize its shape and create a sense of depth. -
Layered Decorative Details
Artwork, ceramics, plants, and textiles were selected to complement the architectural framework. These elements add warmth and individuality, reinforcing a lived-in atmosphere without distracting from the overall composition.
The finished interior reflects our approach to renovation: respecting existing character while refining it through thoughtful choices. By combining expressive color accents, patterned surfaces, and balanced proportions, we created a home that feels grounded, welcoming, and visually distinctive.
