For this master bathroom remodel, our team performed a full construction renovation, including demolition, system upgrades, waterproofing, and complete surface replacement. The space was rebuilt to modern building standards with durable, water-resistant finishes and proper drainage.
Renovation Details
Full Demolition & Structural Preparation
All existing flooring, wall finishes, fixtures, and cabinetry were removed. Subfloor and wall framing were inspected, repaired, and leveled to ensure proper support and moisture protection for new installations.
Plumbing Rough-In & Fixture Installation
Water supply and drain lines were re-routed for the new double vanity and walk-in shower. New valves, shower heads, faucets, and drain assemblies were installed and fully tested.
Electrical & Lighting Upgrades
Electrical wiring was updated to current standards. Circuits were added for ceiling lights, wall sconces, and outlets, ensuring code compliance and functional lighting throughout the space.
Shower Construction, Waterproofing & Drainage
The walk-in shower was constructed with cement backer board and a full waterproofing membrane. The shower floor was carefully sloped toward the linear drain to ensure efficient water runoff. Recessed wall niches were framed and waterproofed to provide storage without compromising the water barrier.
Tile Installation
Large-format porcelain tile was installed on shower walls, while mosaic tile was used on the shower floor to enhance slip resistance and guide water to the drain. Bathroom floor tile was installed over a waterproofed subfloor, maintaining proper slope in wet zones to prevent standing water.
Frameless Glass Shower Doors
Custom frameless tempered glass doors were installed to enclose the shower, ensuring water containment while preserving an open, modern appearance.
Wall Paneling & Wood Finishes
Shiplap-style wood boards were installed on the vanity wall, fastened and sealed to resist moisture while adding structural detail and aesthetic appeal.
Custom Vanity, Countertop & Hardware
A custom-built double vanity with shaker-style cabinetry was mounted securely to the wall. Quartz countertop with integrated sinks and new faucets were installed, followed by mirrors and hardware.
Final Finishing & Quality Control
All surfaces were caulked, sealed, and painted with moisture-resistant coatings. Final fixture alignment, glass adjustment, and system testing were performed to ensure proper function and durability.
Waterproofing & Materials
All waterproofing membranes, adhesives, sealants, and tile installation methods meet professional industry standards, ensuring longevity and effective moisture protection for wet areas.
