For this bathroom renovation, our team completed a full transformation that required complete demolition, structural preparation, new mechanical installations, and upgraded finishes. The remodel brought the space up to modern standards with improved functionality, enhanced durability, and a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
Renovation Details
Full Demolition & Structural Preparation
The existing shower, flooring, wall coverings, cabinetry, and fixtures were fully demolished down to the substrate. All surfaces were inspected, repaired, and prepared for new installations. Moisture-prone areas received additional reinforcement, including waterproof backer boards and sealed junctions to ensure long-term durability.
Wall Reconstruction, Waterproofing & Tile Installation
All wall surfaces were stripped, leveled, and refinished. In the shower area, a complete waterproofing system was applied before installing new subway wall tiles with precise alignment. A built-in niche and a floating corner bench were added for enhanced functionality. The shower enclosure was finished with a frameless glass panel for an open, modern look.
Floor Demolition & New Tile Installation
The old flooring was removed entirely, and the subfloor was cleaned, leveled, and primed. New large-format hexagon porcelain tiles were installed for improved water resistance, stability, and a high-end appearance. All grout joints were sealed to maximize protection against moisture.
Door Replacement & Trim Adjustments
The old door system was removed and replaced with a new sliding door. Adjustments were made to the frame, guides, and surrounding trim to ensure smooth operation and a clean architectural finish.
Window Frame Repair & Refinishing
All window trim and returns were repaired, patched, and refinished. Gaps were sealed for improved insulation, and the frames were repainted to integrate with the updated color palette of the bathroom.
Plumbing Configuration & Fixture Installation
Existing plumbing lines were updated to accommodate the new freestanding bathtub, dual-sink vanity, and shower system. All valves, drains, and supply lines were replaced or repositioned as needed. New fixtures—including the freestanding tub filler, dual faucets, and shower hardware—were installed and pressure-tested.
Electrical Upgrades & Lighting Improvements
Electrical wiring was updated to support the new layout and lighting needs. New vanity light fixtures were installed above the mirrors, and all outlets and switches were rewired or repositioned for optimal usability. Additional lighting adjustments improved visibility and ambiance throughout the room.
Custom Vanity, Countertop & Storage Installation
The outdated vanity was removed and replaced with custom white cabinetry featuring shaker-style doors. A durable stone countertop was installed along with two undermount sinks. A freestanding shelving unit was also added to provide accessible storage and complement the updated layout.
Painting, Wall Finishing & Final Touches
All walls were repaired, smoothed, primed, and painted with moisture-resistant coatings. New baseboards and trim were installed to complete the polished look. Final accessories—including towel bars, hooks, and decorative elements—were added to finish the space with a cohesive and refined appearance.
