For this kitchen remodel, our team transformed a dark, dated kitchen into a bright, modern, and highly functional cooking and gathering space. The renovation included full cabinet refinishing, new quartz countertops, a redesigned island, an upgraded backsplash, refreshed walls, and thoughtful styling to elevate the entire home’s aesthetic.

Renovation Details

Cabinet Refinishing & Color Transformation
The original dark brown cabinets were completely refinished, primed, and painted. Upper and lower wall cabinets were transformed into a crisp white finish, while the island received a contrasting matte black color. New modern hardware was installed to complete the updated look and improve everyday usability.

Countertop Replacement
All existing countertops were removed and replaced with light quartz surfaces featuring subtle veining. The island was upgraded with a waterfall-edge quartz design, adding a luxurious, sculptural element that enhances both the kitchen’s durability and visual appeal.

Backsplash Upgrade
The outdated stone backsplash was replaced with a modern charcoal scalloped tile. This textured, reflective surface brings depth, contrast, and a contemporary edge that pairs perfectly with the newly lightened cabinetry.

Island Sink & Faucet Installation
A new undermount sink and sleek matte-black faucet were installed on the island to match the updated color palette. This upgrade improves functionality while contributing to the minimalist, modern aesthetic.

Wall Painting & Surface Prep
All walls were patched, smoothed, and repainted in soft, neutral tones to brighten the kitchen and create a cohesive transition into the adjoining living and dining areas. The new paint enhances natural light and complements the fresh cabinetry and backsplash.

Flooring Refresh
The existing tile flooring was preserved but deep-cleaned and restored, regaining its original brightness. The updated kitchen now pairs seamlessly with the flooring thanks to the lighter cabinetry, new quartz finishes, and added décor elements such as the patterned runner.

Lighting Enhancements
Lighting in the kitchen and adjacent dining area was optimized to better illuminate work zones and create a welcoming ambiance. Updated modern fixtures above the dining table contribute to the room’s contemporary feel.
