This living room remodel completely refreshed an outdated space and turned it into a bright, modern, and stylish contemporary interior. The goal was to preserve the openness and architectural character of the room while updating all finishes, replacing old built-ins, and introducing a sleek, cohesive design. The final space feels clean, inviting, and visually elevated.

What We Did

Fireplace & Built-ins Upgrade

Replaced the heavy, traditional fireplace surround with a clean white contemporary design.
Removed old dated shelving and installed modern black built-ins with streamlined cabinetry for a bold contrast and better storage.
Repositioned décor elements to create a balanced and visually appealing focal wall.

Color Scheme & Wall Finishes

Swapped the previous warm, yellow-toned palette for a modern neutral scheme using soft whites and light greys.
Paint refresh throughout the entire room brightened the interior and brought a sense of openness.
Introduced accent trim in matte black to add contemporary contrast and tie in the updated built-ins.

Lighting Enhancements

Replaced outdated lighting with modern fixtures that complement the room’s new aesthetic.
Added layered lighting (ambient + accent) to enhance mood and improve evening illumination.
Ensured the staircase and adjoining areas received cohesive lighting updates for a unified look.

Furniture & Styling

Updated all furniture with modern, clean-lined pieces to match the contemporary style.
Incorporated neutral textiles, light rugs, and curated décor to support the fresh, refined atmosphere.
Selected artwork and accessories with modern, minimalistic character to complete the transformation.

Ceiling & Trim Work

Repainted ceilings in crisp white to visually lift the room.
