For this master bathroom remodel, our team completed a full renovation that converted the existing space into a modern, fully rebuilt bathroom meeting current construction standards. The project included full demolition, new plumbing for the shower and bathtub, custom tile installation, wall finishing, and final painting.
Renovation Details
Full Demolition & Surface Preparation
All existing bathroom components were completely removed, including old flooring, wall finishes, shower elements, and fixtures. Subfloor and wall substrates were inspected, repaired, and prepared for waterproofing, tile work, and painting.
Plumbing & Drain Installation
New plumbing was installed for the walk-in shower and freestanding bathtub. A new shower drain and bathtub drain were installed, properly sloped, and tested to ensure correct water flow and leak-free performance.
Custom Walk-In Shower Construction
A raised shower base (curb) was constructed to create a walk-in shower. The shower pan and walls were fully waterproofed prior to tile installation.
Shower Wall & Floor Tile Installation
The shower walls were finished with large-format porcelain tile. The shower floor was completed with mosaic tile for improved drainage and slip resistance. A built-in recessed niche was framed, waterproofed, and tiled.
Bathroom Floor Tile Installation
New porcelain tile flooring was installed throughout the bathroom, providing a durable, water-resistant surface.
Wall Repair & Painting
All non-tiled walls and ceiling surfaces were patched, skim-coated as needed, and painted using moisture-resistant bathroom paint to ensure a clean, uniform, and long-lasting finish.
Frameless Glass Shower Enclosure
Clear frameless glass panels were installed around the shower area using black metal hardware to provide effective water containment while maintaining an open layout.
Bathtub Installation
A freestanding bathtub was installed and connected to the newly installed plumbing system. All connections were tested for proper drainage and functionality.
Finishing, Sealing & Final Inspection
All tile joints were grouted and sealed, silicone was applied at all change-of-plane areas, and final inspections were completed to verify waterproofing, drainage, and overall construction quality.
